How To Create The Most Special Valentine Garland

It’s almost Valentines day and I want to share with you how to create the most special Valentine garland with your Valentines cards.

I think Valentine’s day is the most special holiday! It’s one of my favorite holidays! February is also my favorite month! I have three special dates in the month of February, Valentines, my birthday and my husband and my anniversary!

It’s the love month at our home and we have so much to celebrate in the month of February !

So let’s get going and let me show you How To Create The Most Special Valentine Garland! I hope you don’t mind Scout and Mario wanted to help too!

How To Create The Most Special Valentine Garland

Valentine is all about love! It’s a very special holiday in Italy. My husband is Italian and grew up with Valentine’s Day being a very special day to celebrate. We have continue the Valentine tradition with our family. We love cards and think they are so special so we save them year after year. This year as I was doing some cleaning out I came across my Valentines cards. I thought I could make a garland with some of the Valentines cards I received through the years from my family. This little Valentine garland is so special to me because of the meaning behind each of the hearts on the garland.

This is how I created the most special Valentine Garland!

How I Created a Special Valentine Garland with Valentine Cards I Had Saved Through The Years. These Valentines cards are from my husband and children so I wanted to include what they wrote in the card as well.

1.)First I traced each card using a heart cookie cutter.

2.) Next I used craft scissors to cut the hearts.

On the back of each heart I included what each person had wrote by tracing a heart on the words they wrote.

3.) I then added a few drops of glue onto the heart to attached the two hearts together.

4.) Using a paper puncher I placed a hole at the top of each heart to pull the ribbon through each hole.

5.) Lastly I added 4 cut ribbons each piece was cut to 8 inches. I placed the 4 ribbons together using a craft twist tie. I then added each to the ribbon garland using the end of the twist tie to secure to the garland ribbon. Placing each set of ribbon between each of the hearts on the garland.

I love how it turned out and it’s now such a special Valentine keepsake.

• You could use any cards you have to make a garland.
• Any special items could be added to a garland such as pictures, keepsakes, poems and birthday cards.
• String could be used in place of ribbon to create the garland.
• Use items you have on hand for a special garland.
• Any color ribbon or fabric could be added to a ribbon or string to create a special garland.

Creating The Most Special Valentine

Creating the most special Valentine can be as simple as being with the special people in our lives.

It’s such a special time of year to let our love ones know how much we care about them by doing something special for them. I’ll be making a favorite meal with valentine cookies for dessert. I’ll also have some favorite candy for my special people!
